An Oregon woman, Elizabeth West, who issued threats against her co-workers and posted racist messages online, has been sentenced to time served and will spend another two weeks in custody before her supervised release. Completing a total of six months and three weeks behind bars, West's sentence also includes three years of federal supervision following her release, as reported by OregonLive.
Earlier court proceedings revealed that West had pleaded guilty in April to making interstate threatening communications. The investigation, which included a search of West's home and vehicle led to the discovery of a disturbing arsenal. KOIN detailed the inventory: “12 handguns, 16 rifles, thousands of rounds of ammunition and firearm accessories, and a journal that appeared to contain writings and drawings that included additional hateful and violent statements.”
The criminal complaint was filed against West following her arrest at her workplace in Eugene on January 12. Indicted by January 18, she subsequently entered a guilty plea on May 29. Alongside her time served, the condition of her supervised release is thought to serve as preventative measures against potential incidents.
