An Orlando teenager has been incarcerated following a fatal shooting incident that left a 19-year-old dead earlier this month. According to WFTV, the Orlando Police Department released footage showing the 17-year-old suspect, identified as Tenaje Johnson, being placed into a police vehicle. The arrest is connected to the death of Christopher Dumesle, whose body was discovered with a gunshot wound following a car crash into a residential property.
According to FOX 35 News, the scene of the tragedy unfolded near Barnett Park on Lawne Boulevard, where Dumesle's vehicle, having been shot in, veered off the road and collided with a house. In the crash that was allegedly precipitated by the shooting, the home sustained severe damage, rendering it uninhabitable.
Charges levied against the teenager include first-degree felony murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and attempted robbery with a firearm.
Local authorities arrived at the perspicuous crash site shortly after the incident, which took place near Lake Lawne Park close to 11:30 p.m. on July 14. Having been shot, the driver, later identified as Dumesle, was declared deceased at the scene. The exact motivation behind the shooting and the sequence of events leading up to the fatal collision have not been publicly detailed by law enforcement as of yet.
