
In an unfortunate incident that occurred early this Saturday, a pedestrian was fatally injured after colliding with a vehicle on the busy stretch of DuSable Lake Shore Drive. As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, the incident happened near Hyde Park on the 4500 block, where an unnamed man ventured into the road and was struck by a northbound Toyota Prius around 1 a.m.
The victim was hurriedly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his death was confirmed the Chicago police department's Major Accidents Unit is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident that took the life of this pedestrian, and no other injuries were reported, marking this as a solitary and sorrowful event.
