After nearly a year of evading law enforcement, 22-year-old Armon Thompkins from Penn Hills was apprehended, with officials also charging his girlfriend, Alaizah Howard, 21, for her alleged role in hindering his capture. On the scene, detectives discovered both Thompkins and Howard in the basement of the house, concealing themselves in a bid to remain unnoticed by authorities.

Thompkins, who has been on the lam since August 2023, was wanted for multiple offenses, including three bench warrants for bond violations and an aggravated assault warrant from Penn Hills, as well as a drug warrant from Connellsville. With the residence's search yielding suspected marijuana, suspected heroin, and a handgun, the stakes have now risen for both individuals.
