
A pilot sustained injuries following the crash of an ultralight glider in Burke County, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Monday morning, prompting a response from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCHSP). Upon crashing into several trees, the glider came to a halt in the woods, leading to an unfortunate series of events that resulted in the pilot's injury. The pilot, 45-year-old Christopher Ryan Short of Morganton, was transported via medical helicopter to Mission Hospital in Asheville, as confirmed by Highway Patrol. Despite the calamity setting in the woods, Short’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
