
Early Monday morning, the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago became the scene of a fatal stabbing incident. According to ABC 7 Chicago, a male was stabbed to death around 12:33 a.m. in the 300 block of East 115th Street. Chicago police reported that the victim was outside a vehicle with a male and a female suspect when a verbal altercation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Chicago police detailed that the male suspect, also the driver of the vehicle, brandished a cutting instrument to fatally stab the victim, who was a passenger, in the chest. The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, yet despite medical efforts, was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased remains unreleased as investigations proceed. The perpetrators hastened to flee the scene in a beige Toyota Corolla, police said. Ruinously, the suspects are still at large.
WGN TV's coverage of the incident similarly recounts that two men and a woman were outside of their vehicle moments before the stabbing transpired.
