San Antonio Pets Alive! is celebrating the holiday weekend by launching the 'Red, White, & Rescued' event, an adoption extravaganza where animal lovers are encouraged to bring home a new companion at no charge when they support the organization's medical care program.

Starting today and running through July 7th, the rescue organization has opened its doors wide, more than 900 animals of various breeds, sizes, and ages are up for adoption, they are all looking for a fresh start with caring owners. Fox San Antonio reports that the main SAPA! Rescue Center, located at 4710 Highway 151, along with other adoption facilities, including a center inside Petco, are participating in this fee-waived adoption drive.

Prospective pet owners can visit the SAPA! Rescue Center any day of the week, with operating hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Additionally, SAPA! has made provisions at their other locations, such as the Medical Care & Adoption Center at 9107 Marbach Road, open from noon to 6 p.m. on weekdays and till 4 p.m. on weekends, moreover, the SAPA! Petco Love Adoption Center at 6001 NW Loop 410 operates from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Animal adoption addresses a pressing need within the community, providing a solution for the overcrowding in shelters while offering pets a second chance at life, this special event offers a perfect opportunity for individuals and families considering adding a pet to their home to step forward.
