Police in Redmond are requesting assistance from the community to identify several suspects involved in a recent case of shoplifting accompanied by assault. The incident unfolded on Monday evening at a liquor store located in the 2100 block of 148th Avenue NE. According to the Redmond Police, three women presumed to be in their late teens or early twenties are said to have engaged in the theft of various alcoholic goods.
During their hasty departure, one of the suspects is reported to suddenly have pushed an 83-year-old female employee to the ground, causing her injuries. Subsequently, all three suspects managed to quickly leave the store. The store employee who was a victim of the assault was afterwards taken to a local hospital; thankfully, her injuries were not life-threatening. The Redmond Police Department, in a statement, added that the suspects managed to abscond with more than $3,000 worth of merchandise. Significantly, the suspects were not seen with any weapons, nor were any reported at the scene.
Later in the evening, an external law enforcement agency apprehended one of the individuals implicated in the Rosemont incident. The suspect was wearing a pink crop top, as shown in the distributed images. Details pertaining to this arrest remain somewhat scarce, but the arrest was apparently for offenses not related to the earlier shoplifting and assault.
The Redmond Police continue to aggressively seek to identify the other two suspects and are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information. Those with any knowledge of the crime or the whereabouts of the suspects are encouraged to contact Redmond authorities as part of this ongoing investigation.
