Linklater, known for his critically acclaimed works like “Dazed and Confused” and “Boyhood," brings a cinematic perspective to the dialogue, with his recent production “Hit Man” receiving high praise. Maher, having taken the helm at NPR this year after leadership roles at Web Summit and the Wikimedia Foundation, represents the evolving face of digital information platforms.
Alongside these figures are political leaders such as U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-California, the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, and the highest-ranking Latino in the House to date. From the sphere of activism and philanthropy, Luci Baines Johnson, the daughter of former president Lyndon B. Johnson, will contribute her lifetime of experience in social justice and various other social domains.
MSNBC’s Ali Velshi, Allan Golston from the Gates Foundation, and several national political reporters, including Lisa Lerer of The New York Times, are slated to speak as well, weaving a tapestry of perspectives across media, policy, and social advocacy.
