Upon their arrival, just after 4:00 a.m., they discovered the victim with at least one gunshot wound.
Efforts to save the victim's life were initiated immediately with officers providing life-saving measures until the arrival of the Sacramento Fire Department. The individual was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. As the victim's relatives are being informed, their identity remains withheld, a course taken out of respect and protocol.
