
Following an investigation into suspected narcotics trafficking at a local establishment, Salem Police executed a raid that resulted in the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs and weaponry. Detectives from the Salem Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Community Impact Unit and Patrol Division, carried out the action at 34 Boston Street, targeting the Mass Mini Mart. The department's official statement detailed the seizure of two firearms, a stun gun, an assortment of drugs including 56 grams of fentanyl, and a sum of cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
The search warrant executed yesterday, according to official sources, was the culmination of a month-long investigation into the operations conducted at the site. Among the contraband recovered were pressed fentanyl pills, crack cocaine, and methamphetamines. Additionally, one of the confiscated firearms has been linked to a prior burglary in Lynn, where it was reported stolen.
Two individuals, Kathania Vasquez of Beverly and Bryan Martinez, of Salem and Lawrence, were apprehended in connection with the investigation. They are facing charges that include Trafficking Class A Fentanyl over 36 grams, Possession to Distribute Crack Cocaine, and weapons offenses among other related charges. The arrests reportedly occurred without incident.
