Following a coordinated law enforcement operation, San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) apprehended a suspect on the run for murder, as reported by FOX San Antonio. Gabriel Aleman, 29, was wanted in connection with the homicide of Deanna Arispe, 36, which transpired in Kerrville, Texas.
The Kerrville Police Department described a harrowing incident where on early Saturday, Aleman allegedly fired shots through Arispe's apartment door where two adults and three children were present but, fortunately, incurred no injuries aside from the tragic loss of Arispe; evidence from a Ring doorbell camera was critical in identifying Aleman as the prime suspect, this according to details shared by News 4 San Antonio. Aleman was linked to the crime scene with the help of the Texas Rangers, who tipped off the SAPD's Street Crimes Unit initiating a clandestine watch over an address pinpointed as Aleman's potential hideout.
The monitoring paid off when officers spotted a red Ford Fusion, consistent with descriptions attributed to the suspect's vehicle, leaving the premises. With precision, SAPD's Eagle helicopter and Covert Units coordinated to keep visuals on the moving suspect until opportunity allowed for a safer approach and eventual arrest of Aleman on the 9400 block of Wurzbach Rd. The urgency of the operation was underpinned by the fact Aleman was considered armed and dangerous.
