In San Antonio, two families continue to search for closure in the murder cases of their loved ones. Meagan Gonzales and Daniella Chavez, both of whom met untimely deaths, are the subjects of renewed appeals for leads by investigators and Crime Stoppers.
The case of Meagan Gonzales, whose burned remains were discovered in 2019, has persisted to deeply affect those she left behind. "I miss her dearly," her father, Eddie Gonzales, said in an interview obtained by KENS 5. This December will mark five years since her tragic passing, with the Bexar County Sheriff's homicide investigators continuing to to actively seek new information that could lead to an arrest in the case.
Simultaneously, law enforcement is also focusing on the 2016 case of Daniella Chavez, whose remains were found three years following her disappearance. Initially reported missing from her Northeast Loop 410 home, Chavez was later found in a greenbelt area a mere mile from her residence. As reported by KTSA News, police indicate that foul play is suspected in her death.
Both families, joined by law enforcement, hope that the passage of time will not fade the urgency of these cases but instead will bring someone forward who can provide the pivotal tip to unravel these mysteries. Crime Stoppers remains a crucial point of contact, offering rewards up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
