A Sonic drive-in in San Antonio became the site of a grim altercation resulting in a fatal shooting yesterday night. According to a report by KENS 5, a male employee was shot and killed by a customer after a dispute over money at the establishment located on Babcock Road near Huebner.
At approximately 9:40 p.m., San Antonio police responded to the incident, later stating that the victim, presumably in his 30s, retreated inside the restaurant after being shot. By the time first responders arrived, he had succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene, as reported by KTSA News. The suspect fled the premises before police could apprehend him and his capture remains outstanding.
Investigators are now working to gather evidence, including footage from the restaurant's surveillance system in hopes it will lead to the identification of the shooter. As of now, the authorities have not released a description of the suspect. The San Antonio Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
