San Antonio law enforcement officials have confirmed the arrest of a woman in connection with a recent AMBER Alert involving a 7-month-old boy. Thirty-year-old Nicole Daguanno was taken into custody after allegedly fleeing from Child Protective Services with her son, Richard Ramey. The incident, which triggered widespread concern, occurred on July 10, before the child was safely recovered on the morning of July 12.
According to details shared by FOX San Antonio, Daguanno was arrested without incident yesterday at an address near the corner of South Foster Road and Brown Boulevard, located in the outskirts of San Antonio. She is faced with one count of Endangering Child/Elderly/Disabled, and one count of Interference with Child Custody, both considered State Jail Felonies.
The brief disappearance of Ramey ensued after an AMBER Alert was issued early Friday morning but was later discontinued once the child and his mother were located. As reported by KTSM, the infant "looks to be in good health" and was found at a home on S. Foster Road along with his mother and three other adults. The child is currently being evaluated as a precautionary measure.
The original AMBER Alert provided specifics, noting the baby was last seen at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday in the 12400 block of Adkins-Elmendorf Road in San Antonio. Daguanno, identified by law enforcement as the child's mother, was reportedly seen fleeing from Child Protective Services in the 12000 block of Adkins Elmendorf Road prior to their recovery.
