
In a substantial recovery operation dated July 9, the Rural Crime Investigators successfully retrieved a stolen commercial generator, among other equipment, in Phelan. The arrest of 24-year-old Cecil Amar Barrera, a San Bernardino resident, in connection with the theft of the generator, tractors, and trailers valued at a total of roughly $100,000.00, as reported by the SBSD - Victor Valley Sheriff's Department.
It is disclosed that on July 1, Spectrum Communications had a generator taken from their work site, leading to Victorville Police Department to file a report for grand theft. The listed suspect, Amar Barragen, was associated with an older Dodge Durango seen towing away the stolen generator. Information sourced from the sheriff's press release indicates that the Durango and other stolen items including a flatbed trailer and tractor were found in Barrera's possession.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department's release notes that Barrera faces charges for possession of stolen property and outstanding warrants. Currently, he is being held at the High Desert Detention Center with bail set at $60,000.00, as per the Victor Valley Sheriff's Department.
