On July 21, the Harris County deputies, answering the call at a construction site on FM 2920, stumbled upon not one, but two men with a laundry list of warrants between them. Constable Mark Herman's Office identified the suspects as Kelly Wessel and Scott Doba, turning a routine check into a notable arrest.
A deeper probe into the matter uncovered that Doba wasn't just hanging around the site for kicks. He had an outstanding Felony Warrant for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Wessel, his counterpart, was juggling eight open Misdemeanor Warrants. So when the deputies arrived, it wasn't just a strange face they were greeting, but a couple of much-sought-after individuals.
Herman was quite straightforward about the outcome: "Both suspects were arrested and booked into Harris County Jail for their open warrants." The wheels of justice didn't take long to start turning for Doba; his bond was set at $10,000, according to the source from the 482nd District Court. As for Wessel's bond, well, that's still up in the air. These developments were made public via the official Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office yesterday.
