
During a routine traffic stop in North Fair Oaks yesterday, San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies recovered a stolen firearm and narcotics. According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around Middlefield Rd. and 6th Ave.
During the stop for a vehicle code violation, deputies discovered the driver, 51-year-old Robert W. Lloyd, with a suspended license. In the subsequent investigation involving a narcotics detection K-9, deputies found Vincent M. Salinas, the 33-year-old passenger, to have drugs and the stolen gun.
Salinas now faces multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying a concealed stolen weapon, carrying a loaded firearm in public, and possession of a controlled substance while armed. The Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Salinas was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility following the stop. Lloyd received a citation before being released from the scene.
