Earlier this morning, at approximately 6:18 am, Santa Rosa Police Officers, Fire, and medical personnel were dispatched to Fountaingrove and Parker Hill Road for a solo motorcycle collision. Multiple 911 calls reported the incident.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, witnesses stated that the motorcycle was traveling west on Fountaingrove and had just passed Parker Hill when the driver lost control. The motorcycle hit the curb and flipped multiple times, eventually coming to rest on the north side of Fountaingrove near the sidewalk. Upon arrival, officers found the rider unresponsive near the motorcycle. Medical personnel transported him to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
An SRPD Collision Investigator and Evidence Technicians arrived to take over the investigation and collect evidence. Initial witness reports suggested the driver might have been driving erratically before the collision, though his speed remains unknown. Fountaingrove remained open during the investigation. The driver, an adult male, is currently in critical condition at a local hospital, and his identity will not be released until his family is notified. Anyone with information about the collision is encouraged to contact Collision Investigator John Fisher at 707-543-3559.
