
Scottsdale Police are on the hunt for a credit card thief following an incident in May where a woman had her wallet stealthily taken from her purse. The theft, which occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at The Mission located in Kierland Commons, involved the suspect, captured on surveillance reaching into the victim's purse and walking away with her black wallet, as reported by AZFamily.
In the subsequent investigation, it emerged that the captured suspect not only lifted the wallet but also, authorities allege, went on a spending spree, racking up some $2,500 on the victim's credit cards at various retailers throughout Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons according to details shared by 12News. But the narrative took a darker turn, one month after the alleged theft the woman's sense of security was once again breached when the suspect was spotted driving by her house in a distinct lime green Kia Soul, a move that has "tremendously frightened the family."
Local law enforcement has since been actively appealing to the community for aid in apprehending the individual responsible for this unsettling series of events. Descriptions provided by the Phoenix Police Department depict one suspect as wearing a black shirt and tan pants, believed to be the principal pickpocket while a second suspect in a purple dress acted as the accomplice, as per information from 12News.
