
A shooting incident in the Ballard neighborhood has sparked a police investigation after a man was found injured in the early hours of Monday morning. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, a 33-year-old man was shot while riding what turned out to be a stolen motorcycle. Reports of the shooting at the corner of 15th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 80th Street came in just after 2:00 a.m., prompting a swift response from both police and medical teams.
The Seattle Fire Department was quick to provide medical assistance, and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in a condition described as serious. Witnesses at the scene informed officers that the victim had been heading southward along the intersection when he was shot. To this point, no suspects have been taken into custody and the motivations behind the shooting remain unclear, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.
An unsettling aspect of the case revealed during the police investigation is that the motorcycle the victim was riding had been reported stolen, as per the Seattle Police Department.
