Second Suspect Charged in Connection with the Murder of Harris County Deputy Fernando Esqueda, Community Mourns at Procession in Houston

Dremone Francis, 26, stands accused of capital murder alongside Ronald "Ronnie" Palmer Jr., who was arrested on the night of the murder. Francis' arrest followed an intensive search for Esqueda's killer, which Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez initialized subsequent to Palmer's violent clash at a Houston-area pizza shop. According to Fox News, Esqueda was fatally shot while attempting to locate Palmer's vehicle, precipitating the tragic turnout of events that have shaken the local law enforcement community deeply.
