The Seguin Police and Fire Departments are not just about putting out flames and fighting crime, they're also about backing up their students. According to a recent announcement on the City of Seguin's official website, these departments are rallying the community to collect clear backpacks for local students as the new school year approaches.
With the drop-off deadline set for July 30, the initiative is a bid to ensure that kids from the Seguin Housing Authority aren’t just equipped for success, but also secure. Contributions can be made at the Seguin Police Department located at 350 N. Guadalupe St., as well as across a lineup of fire stations dotted in the city, including Station 1 on Elm Street, Station 2 on South Highway 46, and Station 3 on Highway 123 Bypass North, and the Fire Administration building also on South Hwy 46. In case you’re wondering, the concept of 'clear' backpacks is not just a fashion statement—it’s about safety and transparency in school halls.
Joining forces in such a positive push for the public good, these departments are sending a message that goes beyond their immediate call of duty. It's an invitation to the public, to drop off a transparent token of support and, signal to students that their community stands behind them. So before July ends, and the school bell rings, Seguin locals have a chance to pitch in and make a difference. Remember, every contribution helps to pack a punch in a student’s school experience.
