Orange County has been hit by a series of vehicle burglaries at three separate fire stations, causing concern amongst officials and local residents. Over a two-day period, thieves targeted Orange County Fire Stations 34, 44, and 33, according to deputies. The Orange County Sheriff's Office reported the initial burglaries occurred Sunday morning at Fire Station 34 located at 4000 Winter Garden Vineland Road and Station 44 at 14230 Reams Road, as per ClickOrlando.
Subsequently, the sheriff's deputies were summoned at 3 a.m. on Monday to Fire Station 33 at 1700 S. Apopka Vineland Road where, again, several vehicles had been compromised. Despite the breaches, specific details about the stolen items have not been disclosed. "We have no suspect information or additional information to provide at this time," OCSO stated, as reported by ClickOrlando.
The string of incidents has prompted an ongoing investigation by local authorities, as there is yet a need to identify any suspects tied to the vehicle burglaries.
