A tragic incident unfolded in Shenango Township on Monday evening when a 75-year-old man died in a lawn mowing accident on his own property. According to reports from WPXI, the victim was identified as George Koprivnak Jr. The accident occurred on the 500 block of Rose Stop Road around 6 p.m.

The Lawrence County coroner, Richard "R.J." Johnson, explained that the victim's zero-turn mower had rolled over down a ravine, subsequently pinning him underneath it. A neighbor, along with members of the Shenango Area Fire District, endeavored to lift the mower off of Koprivnak using an excavator. However, it was ultimately too late to save the man's life. "was found down a ravine with the mower on top of him," the coroner was quoted in the WPXI report.

According to New Castle News, Mr. Koprivnak of 3535 Old Pittsburgh Road, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has ruled his death as accidental.
