A confrontational solicitor's run-in with law enforcement on Louetta Road has led to threats of violence and charges of retaliation and fraud. The incident occurred on July 28, 2023, when a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office was called to the 11000 block after reports of a man impeding traffic while soliciting from the roadway. According to Constable Herman's official Facebook page, the situation escalated as the solicitor, later identified as Anthony Sparks, became combative and ignored verbal orders from the deputy.
In the course of the incident, Sparks reportedly threatened to kill the Constable Deputy endeavoring to detain him. Subsequent to his arrest, Sparks was found with a stolen credit card. His aggressive stance did not surely endear him to the law enforcement tasked with ensuring public safety on Louetta Road. "Anthony Sparks was arrested and booked into Harris County Jail, charged with Retaliation and Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information. His total bond was set at $25,000.00 out of the 338th District Court," relayed Constable Mark Herman.
