In the pre-dawn quiet of South Memphis, a group of four men executed a calculated burglary at the Beauty & Beyond hair store on South Bellevue. Action News 5 reports that the incident occurred just before 2:20 a.m. on Monday, with the thieves employing a method involving vehicles to gain entry. The Memphis Police Department, as mentioned by FOX13 Memphis, arrived on the scene to find the front doors torn off and the interior of the store ransacked.

The surveillance video reviewed by the police showed two SUVs, a gray Infiniti QX60, and a white SUV, backing up to the storefront. Four male suspects wearing dark clothes, facial coverings, and, gloves emerged from these vehicles. Using chains attached to the Infiniti, they forcibly removed the doors. The quartet then entered the establishment and swiftly pilfered various hair and beauty accessories. Their haul's worth is undetermined as of yet; however, the robbers have eluded capture and are currently wanted by the MPD.

WREG paints a more detailed picture of the loss, quoting a local worker, Antoine Neeley, who lamented the targeting of new merchandise in such thefts. As per the same source, Neeley expressed concerns over the community's safety and the need for more effective security measures despite the existing enhancements like bright lighting and surveillance cameras in the area

The owner of Beauty & Beyond, tired from repeated thefts, has decided to shutter the business permanently. "That's hurting our pockets, so we have to do better as a people (to) protect our community," Neeley told WREG. The sentiment is a wake-up call, echoing through the South Bellevue plaza, a demand for stronger, more effective defenses against such blatant acts of crime.
