Round up the kiddos for a melodic morning at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater this Wednesday – the Jolly Pops are ready to serve up some ear candy. According to a bulletin released by St. Louis Park on July 21, the Kids Summer Concert Series is in full swing, under the canopy of summer, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There’s no charge to fearlessly drop into the melodies starting on July 24 at 3700 Monterey Drive. Just make sure to pack shades and hats since the vibe is as open-air as it gets.
It's not all about the tunes; after the show, kiddies can absolutely run around the playground, munch on picnic-packed lunches, or splash around at the adjacent Aquatic Park. Remember, these concerts are a breeze – no tickets, no fees, just show up. Yet, let's call it like it is – this is Minnesota, where weather can be a bit moody. Should the skies decide to spoil the party, just dial 952.924.2567 to check on the concert status.
The fun doesn't stop with the Pops. The lineup slated for the following weeks promises variety that'll keep both tots and parents bobbing their heads. July 31 welcomes The Royal Order of Cords and Keys (R.O.C.K.), then it's Riffin Griffin tuning up the fun on August 7.
The series wraps with the Teddy Bear Band, strutting their stuff on August 14 – and if history is any indicator, the kiddos are going to be all over it. For more specifics on the sounds of summer, the summer concerts webpage has your back.
