As the summer heat bears down on the community, the City of St. Louis Park in collaboration with the St. Louis Park Rotary Club is serving up a season of musical respite, the Summer Concert Series. This is not your average small-town fare—up next on the roster is Dred I Dread. They'll be taking the stage on July 17 at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater, enchanting the audience from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with their reggae rhythms, as reported by St. Louis Park, MN.
The open-air venue, located at 3700 Monterey Drive, has asserted itself as the neighborhood's hub for leisure and culture. A cool breeze, the company of good friends, and groovy music are essentials for a summer evening and the city seems to understand just that. In the event of severe weather, though, call 952.924.287 for concert status, as per St. Louis Park, MN.
While Dred I Dread is sure to draw a crowd, they're just the tip of the iceberg in the series' line-up. Those looking for a diversity of tunes can check out the summer concerts webpage for the full schedule. The upcoming roster includes Power of 10 hitting the stage on July 24, and the St. Louis Park Community Band scheduled for July 31. Not to mention the eclectic mix yet to come in August with performances by Overdressed Duo: La Traviat, Salsa Del Soul, and a Community Talent Show to captivate audiences.
