San Antonio Police Department is actively investigating a stabbing incident that occurred yesterday evening just west of downtown San Antonio. According to KENS 5, the victim, identified as a homeless woman, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to her stomach at the corner of South Medina Street and Buena Vista Street, dispatchers received the call around 11:30 p.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the woman with serious injuries, she was transported to University Hospital where her condition has been described as stable, KSAT reports confirmed her to be in her 40s. In the aftermath of the attack, authorities were unable to locate the exact scene of the crime and have yet to provide any description of a potential suspect or motive.

The incident occurred not far from Interstate 10 and the UTSA downtown campus, sparking concern among the local community as police continue to search for answers. The San Antonio Police Department, along with the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, responded to the emergency call and are working collectively on the ongoing investigation.
