The impasse between the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and Local 363 continues, with MPRB Superintendent Al Bangoura stating at a July 10 board meeting that further negotiations would not occur until Local 363 leadership allows a vote on MPRB's "last, best, and final offer," as detailed in a recent announcement. The turn of events follows a looming strike, initiated by Local 363 on June 20, pressing for augmented wages and improved compensation for its members.
During the same board meeting, Bangoura also released a comparison chart of salaries, emphasizing disparities between the city's positions under City 363 and those under its own MPRR 363 category, as per the MPRB. Although these details were first shared at a special meeting on July 8, the board's position seemed unchanged in the recent meeting.
