In a brazen act of thievery, a South Los Angeles store became the latest victim of a smash-and-grab heist early Thursday morning, when suspects rammed a white car into its premises and looted roughly $25,000 worth of merchandise. CBS News Los Angeles reports that the incident took place at approximately 3:15 a.m. on the 2100 block of Century Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Following the crash, the suspects were seen fleeing with a large haul of shoes and around $500 in clothing, an event that signifies the rising trend of smash-and-grab robberies in the city no arrests have been made yet, as per CBS News.
NBC Los Angeles added that surveillance footage showed the white car smashing into the store before a group exited another car parked nearby and partook in the ransacking.
