In a somber development from east Orange County, a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot early Tuesday morning, a case that sheriff’s investigators are avidly pursuing. Deputies were called to the scene on the 1100 block of Easton Street, just before the clock struck 1 a.m., according to WFTV. The area, lying west of State Road 417 and in proximity to Millinocket Lane, was quickly cordoned off as law enforcement and a crime scene van arrived.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed the young victim was subsequently rushed to the hospital after being shot but lamentably succumbed to his injuries.
