In a collaborative stroke of justice, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced the arrest of Ramiro Manuel Dominguez, a Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offender, in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 27. Dominguez had climbed the list of most sought-after offenders following a December 2023 warrant issued for his failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. He was previously convicted in 2012 for first-degree rape involving a 10-year-old girl, an offense for which he was sentenced to 8 years confinement. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the capture was fueled by tips received, leading DPS Special Agents from Lubbock to join forces with officers from the Cheyenne Police Department to apprehend Dominguez.
The Texas state maintains its "Texas 10 Most Wanted" program, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, offering cash rewards through Texas Crime Stoppers for information that directly leads to an arrest, as per the Texas Department of Public Safety. So far, the year has seen the arrest of 23 individuals, including 10 sex offenders, 8 gang members, and 2 criminal illegal immigrants. Tips that contribute to these arrests can be communicated via a dedicated hotline, the DPS website, or a Facebook tip link.
To claim a reward, tipsters are reminded that they MUST contact authorities through one of the official channels: calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive in question, or via a Facebook tip by clicking on the "SUBMIT A TIP" link. Importantly, these tips are taken anonymously, with the provision of a tip number instead of a name to maintain confidentially.
