In the early hours of this morning, a severe crash left three individuals entrapped in their vehicle on the southbound lanes of Highway 59 at Newcastle, in southwest Houston. Houston authorities, including the Houston Police Department (HPD) and Houston Fire Department (HFD), received a distress call around 2:35 a.m. that triggered an urgent response, according to reports from FOX 26 Houston.
Upon arriving at the scene, the teams discovered significant wreckage and commenced the salient task of extrication. Houston fire units, equipped with heavy rescue gear, managed a 30-minute operation to free the victims. As a result, the three people were heavily involved in the accident, needing to be extricated by the firefighters, as detailed by CW39.
Following the extraction, the three individuals were immediately rushed to nearby trauma centers.
