
In the early hours of yesterday morning, a group of armed individuals orchestrated a brazen robbery in Northwest, DC, leading to the swift arrest of three suspects by the Metropolitan Police Department. According to an official release published on the MPD's website, the incident occurred at 1:25 a.m. on the 2100 block of 8th Street, where four assailants confronted two pedestrians, brandishing firearms and commandeering their possessions before making an escape in a nearby vehicle.
The victims' prompt reporting enabled Third District officers to canvass the area with the description of the getaway car, resulting in the location and apprehension of thee of the quartet involved in the armed robbery. The police also recovered the vehicle used in the crime, along with the stolen items and two firearms.
Charged with Armed Robbery (Gun), Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Carrying a Pistol Without a License are 20-year-old Jeremiah Malik Bryant from Southeast, DC, 20-year-old Isaac Anderson of Northeast, DC, and 18-year-old Kerwin Thompson of Northwest, DC. The MPD continues its investigation to identify and arrest the fourth individual involved in the incident.
