A harrowing incident in north Houston claimed the life of a 2-year-old girl on Monday after she was attacked by three Rottweiler dogs. The attack occurred inside a residence functioning as a babysitter's home on Milwaukee Street, close to the North Loop, around 12:20 p.m, Click2Houston reported.
Following the attack, Houston Fire Department paramedics responded, rapidly transporting the young victim to Texas Children’s Hospital, where despite the urgency of care and the swiftness with which aid was rendered she was pronounced dead. Houston Police Department (HPD) later confirmed that the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC) had taken custody of the Rottweilers involved in the deadly encounter, according to details released by KHOU.
While the child's name has not been made public, authorities are awaiting the completion of an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the exact cause of death. HPD's Homicide Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into what transpired, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
