Following a catastrophic collision in Orlando, the stretch of State Road 408 that was barricaded for hours is now accessible to the public once more. A report from FOX 35 Orlando detailed, that the multi-vehicle incident occurred near Dean Road, east of State Road 417, around the premature hours of 3 a.m.
Authorities confirmed that the collision involved three vehicles: a 2024 Honda Civic, a 2017 Dodge Durango Caravan, and a 2016 Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Dodge, a woman, was declared deceased at the crash site, her name has yet to be disclosed to the public. Shortly before 9:15 a.m., the road, which had been the site of significant traffic disruption and investigation activities.
In a separate update from WFTV, state troopers continued their diligence on the scene until late morning, marking nearly six hours of investigative work. SR-408 was subjected to roadblocks but eventually cleared, reinstating normalcy for Orlando commuters who rely on this thoroughfare for their daily transit.
