The second incident, reported by CBS Detroit, occurred at approximately 5:57 p.m. on North Commerce Lake. A 20-year-old man from Commerce Township, diving off a pontoon boat into about 4 feet of water near a sand bar, injured when he struck his head on the lake's bottom. Without a life jacket, he was found unresponsive and floating. Rescue operations resulted in his transportation to a hospital for serious injuries, with investigators citing alcohol as a possible factor.
