
Two Key West men are facing charges after a violent incident that left a man with severe injuries. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported that the alleged attack and robbery took place near a golf course on Stock Island on July 5, 2024, at approximately 5:10 p.m. The 52-year-old victim, who has not been named, was discovered with a concussion, a broken nose, and two black eyes.
According to authorities, the victim's wallet, which contained credit cards and approximately $200 in cash, was stolen during the assault. The individual was found injured along the fence line of U.S. 1 and was subsequently taken to Lower Keys Medical Center for treatment. John Christopher Grady, 53, and Michael Steven Murray, 49, have been arrested and charged with aggravated battery and robbery in connection with this incident, as reported by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
