The Metropolitan Police Department has taken into custody two additional teenagers in connection to the murder of a 64-year-old man in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident, which occurred last October, resulted in the death of Reggie Brown, a resident of Northwest. According to a report from the MPD, Brown was found with trauma indicative of an assault and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Revealed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner after performing an autopsy, the blunt force trauma suffered by Brown was the cause of his death, and his death was officially ruled a homicide. Initially, in late March of this year, three female juveniles were arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Running through the streets, a 13-year-old and a 12-year-old were apprehended by authorities, accused of a violent crime that ended a man's life.
The investigation has since led to the recent arrest of two more teenagers, as of yesterday. The MPD confirmed that the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old female, both from Northwest, D.C. They have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Reggie Brown's death and were processed at the Homicide Branch.
This ongoing investigation by MPD is urging anyone with information to come forward.
