
Tragedy struck Chicago's West Side early Sunday morning when a hit-and-run crash resulted in the deaths of two women and left another critically injured. As reported by CBS News Chicago, the collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue, where a white Dodge SUV, moving with undue speed, blew through a stop sign and collided with a green Buick sedan.
Following the crash, a 47-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene, and another, aged 34, succumbed to her injuries at Stroger Hospital. On the same morning, a 32-year-old woman, also critically hurt by the collision, was struggling for her life at Stroger. According to FOX 32 Chicago, the police are yet to make an arrest while the SUV was last seen continuing northbound on Kedzie Avenue.
The identities of the victims are currently withheld as the Major Accidents Investigation Unit takes the lead on this ongoing investigation.
