
A severe incident in West Modesto on Thursday has resulted in a person being hospitalized with critical injuries after suffering burns to 80% of their body, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were alerted to a person on fire along the 1900 block of Robertson Road and upon arrival, found the victim extensively burned, details of which were provided by both ABC10 and KCRA 3.
Responders swiftly airlifted the burn victim to a hospital for immediate medical attention, although the current status of their condition remains undisclosed, officials reported that multiple individuals have been detained pending further investigation into the circumstances leading to the person's injuries the Fire Investigation Unit is currently assisting deputies with this ongoing inquiry, but details on the cause and the origin of the fire have not yet been made public.
In the aftermath of the tragic incident, law enforcement has not yet released the identity of the victim nor any details concerning the detained persons.
