Attention Westbound Plant Street travelers: your commute is about to get a bit more complicated this Wednesday. Due to the removal of an inconveniently located tree, the stretch between Lakeview Ave. and Highland Ave. is slated for closure from 5 am to 11 am on July 31. But here's a sliver of good news—the bulk of the noisy work won't kick off until 8 am, sparing the early birds some early morning racket, as detailed by the City of Winter Garden.
The tree in question is nestled between two civic landmarks: the Winter Garden Police Station and the Winter Garden Post Office, and it's coming down. Barricades and detour signage will guide drivers around the disruption but expect the usual domino effect on traffic.
When it comes to the inconvenience caused, city officials are already on the front foot, extending an olive branch in advance. "We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your cooperation," the City of Winter Garden stated.
