Marking a significant moment in preserving the local heritage, the first of two historical markers has been installed at the old Rowland Ranch on Silver Creek Rd. According to the City of White Settlement, the installation was a collaborative effort with Majestic Realty, who not only took the concept and developed it but also preserved the original 1929 water tank earlier on.
This development is part of a broader initiative to commemorate the legacy of the Rowland family and their homestead, the second marker is anticipated to be set up soon on Western Trade Dr, the city’s enthusiasts, and the White Settlement Historical Museum have played a pivotal role in bringing this project to fruition. A public acknowledgment by the city celebrates the contribution of Majestic Realty and the museum for their dedication to capturing and holding fast to the fibers of local history that are often lost in the rush of modern development.
The installation of these markers serves as physical touchstones that connect residents and visitors alike to the deep-rooted narratives that have shaped the region, honoring the Rowland family's contribution to the community. Their homestead, now marked for posterity, stands as a testament to the agricultural and familial heritage that once flourished on this land.
