In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) led a two-day operation that led to the seizure of over 115,000 pills and other narcotics in Williamson and Bell counties. KXAN reports that the operation began with an investigation at a residence on San Milan Pass in Round Rock on July 22, revealing an array of suspected fentanyl pills.

The initial findings prompted authorities to swiftly execute a follow-up search at Morgan’s Point residence the subsequent day. Here, they discovered a substantial stash of drugs, including suspected MDMA pills and fentanyl, along with firearms and fake documents. According to CBS Austin, this massive bust is thought to severely disrupt a major drug trafficking network and thereby reduce potential harm to the community. Itemized among the narcotics were 112,845 "suspected MDMA pills" and 2,404 "suspected fentanyl pills," according to the WCSO.

Further, the operation unearthed approximately 4.7 pounds of "suspected marijuana" and 643 "suspected methamphetamine pills" disguised as Adderall. Gracie Perez, public information officer for the WCSO, emphasized the importance of the seizure, stating, "The removal of dangerous narcotics from the community has undoubtedly improved community safety." The WCSO also recuperated a stolen Bear Creek automatic rifle complete with magazine and ammunition and a variety of "fictitious government documents," as reported by KXAN.

The WCSO continues to investigate and actively encourages members of the community to come forward with any information related to drug trafficking. Tips can be reported to the WCSO's tip line at 512-943-1170, with the option for informants to remain anonymous.
