On a seemingly serene Saturday afternoon, a routine drive turned disruptive when a woman found her car crashing into a north-side San Antonio apartment complex. The incident, reported by KENS 5, occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the 11500 block of Vance Jackson, where local law enforcement was dispatched following calls of the collision.
The driver, returning from the gym and attempting to park, explained to the San Antonio Police Department that an untimely leg cramp had forced her foot down onto the gas pedal. This involuntary spasm resulted in her vehicle surging forward into the structure of the apartment complex. She reached out to the apartment's office immediately after the accident, but found no one. Consequently, all she could do was to dispatch a message to emergency maintenance and notify the authorities about the crash.
Facing this unforeseen event, the police presence on the scene established that the driver was not impaired and cooperated fully during their enquiries. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported among the residents of the apartment complex or the driver herself. Police have since indicated that a crash report will be filed, yet they do not anticipate any criminal charges to be brought forth.
"No one, including the driver, was hurt," authorities confirmed, underscoring the fortunate escape from what could have been a series of more grave outcomes.
