An unfortunate incident left a woman dead and a man in critical condition after a vehicle collision in Orange County this past Saturday. According to ClickOrlando, the crash which involved a motorcycle and a car, occurred on International Drive at the intersection with Meadow Bend Loop around 5:39 p.m.
The 63-year-old woman, driving the Mitsubishi Mirage, was attempting to turn left onto International Drive and entered in the direct path of the Northbound motorcycle. This maneuver led to the motorcycle striking the left side of the Mirage. Unfortunately, despite being rushed to ORMC, the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. As reported by WESH, the driver of the motorcycle, a man whose identity has not been released, is now fighting for his life in critical condition following the same incident.
The Florida Highway Patrol has taken on the investigation of the crash. Preliminary evidence was collected at the scene, yet it remains unclear what factors may have contributed to the collision.
