Zimmerman is throwing open the gates to its revamped green space with the grand opening of Grams Park and it’s shaping up to be anything but your typical ribbon-cutting. Scheduled for Saturday, July 13, between 10 am and 1 pm, the event promises a full roster of activities for all ages, as officially announced on the Sherburne County website.
An array of local companies and organizations are pitching in to make it a memorable day. Jonny Pops and Thai 1 On will keep the hunger at bay, while Holistic Athletics rolls out a duo of kids’ fitness sessions. Guest appearances from the Great River Regional Library will add a literary twist with a "story stroll". And because no park unveiling is complete without a bit of an animal farm vibe, a sheep and a donkey, on loan for the day, will be part of the prairie restoration showcase, as per Sherburne County.
Grams Park, for those not in the know, is smack east of Zimmerman, at 26655 120th Street. For those looking to attend, details are available on the Sherburne County website.
