
Authorities in Elyria are currently investigating a case involving a 16-year-old boy who was shot and subsequently ran from the scene. According to a report by Cleveland19, the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. Wednesday when a resident noticed a male fall into her front yard on the 300 block of 12th St. before he quickly got up to run away.
Despite the victim's immediate departure from the scene, he was soon located after having to arrive at the UH Elyria Medical Center emergency room with a gunshot wound. As the Elyria police conducted their search, they received information about the 16-year-old's arrival at the medical facility, as was detailed by The Morning Journal. The young victim was reported to be in stable condition following the event.
The subsequent police investigation saw officers and detectives responding directly to the hospital. There, they interviewed the victim, gathering details to aid their case.
